Refund policy

igotcitizenship is independent study material. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Government of Canada.

This page is available in English only for now.

Every package is a single payment, from CA$19.99, not a subscription, so nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. If it is not for you, we would rather give your money back than keep it.

7-day refund, for any reason

Ask within 7 days of paying for a package or a question pack and we will refund the full price. You do not have to give a reason. This applies once per learner.

30-day refund, when something went wrong

Ask within 30 days of paying, and we will refund you in full if:

  • you were charged twice or the wrong amount;
  • you paid but your package or question pack was never added to your account;
  • a fault stops you using what you paid for and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time;
  • you paid for a question pack after your package had ended, so the pack could not be added.

What is not covered

  • Failing the official test. We do not guarantee that you will pass (see our Terms), so a result at the test is not a reason for a refund after the 7 days. If you have a genuine reason, write to us anyway: we look at each case and can make exceptions.
  • A package or question pack that was refunded once already, or one that was ended because the account broke the Terms of use.

How to ask

  • Email info@igotcitizenship.ca from the address on your account, or tell us the address you used to pay.
  • Say whether it is a package or a question pack. You do not need to explain why for a 7-day refund.
  • We reply within 2 business days.

What happens next

  • The refund goes back to the card or payment method you used, through Stripe. Your bank usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days.
  • A full refund ends the package or question pack immediately. If it is a package, any question packs you added end with it.
  • Your account, your results and your free access stay.
  • We do not refund tax separately: it is included in the full refund.

Please ask us first

If you are unhappy with a charge, please write to us before asking your bank to reverse it. A refund from us is usually faster, and it avoids closing your account while a dispute is open.

Your legal rights

This policy does not take away any right you have under consumer protection law where you live.
